Tupac Shakur‘s legacy holds strong — so much so that he’s being honored by the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Announced Wednesday, the late rapper will posthumously receive his own star in the category of Recording. His star will be unveiled with help from emcee Big Boy and Dear Mama director Allen Hughes. His sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur is slated to accept the award on his behalf.

“Tupac Shakur was a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary. This iconic artist has continued to be part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement. “Surely, as one of L.A.’s own, Tupac’s star will be added to the list of most visited stars.”

Tupac will receive the 2,758th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled for June 7 at 10:30 a.m. PT.
