After the season six premiere episode ranked #1 in viewership for the summer and became the second-largest scripted premium series premiere of 2019, 50 took to Instagram to share the good news and blast the naysayers.

“The EMMY’s can kiss my black a** in slow motion,” Fif wrote, captioning a rundown of Power‘s stats. “F*** em I’m #1 They a bunch of Bengay my back hurt smelling ass old people anyway. LOL.”

50 previously expressed his frustration over Power’s lack of Emmy nominations, and more recently, his showrunner Courtney Kemp, called the fact that Power has yet to be recognized “distressing.”

“We have gotten no awards recognition, outside of the NAACP,” Kemp told Variety. “It is distressing that a show could be this successful on a premium cable network, and to this day, I’ll say, ‘I’m a showrunner’ and people go, ‘Oh! What show?’ And I say Power on Starz and they say, ‘Oh, I’ve never heard of it before.’ These are people in our industry.”
