A$AP Rocky, Whoopi Goldberg, and Colman Domingo make rounds at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival

A$AP Rocky took center stage on Sunday at the premiere of his film Stockholm Syndrome during Tribeca Film Festival.

Held outdoors at The Battery, the event was attended by Rocky, as well as A$AP Ferg, A$AP Twelvvyand many of the film’s producers. Stockholm Syndrome follows Rocky’s life and career, as well as his high-profile legal troubles which landed him in a Swedish prison in July 2019. The incident made national news headlines when various celebrities spoke out and even got former President Trumpinvolved in his eventual release.

Meanwhile, The View‘s Whoopi Goldberg teamed up with Tribeca Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthalto curate the Animated Shorts program. Created for those aged fourteen and up, it showcases imaginative storytelling in short form. During the event, Goldberg said “these films gave us all what we needed. They gave us hope, humor, love and understanding.”

Finally, Colman Domingo was also spotted over the weekend in a conversation that focused supporting local bars and restaurants in the New York City Area. Domingo moderated the Reigniting NYC: The Future of Hospitality in a Resilient City Tribeca Talk, where he spoke about the  “First Drink Is On Us” campaign that allows consumers visiting NYC bars or restaurants during Tribeca to be reimbursed up to $10.
