Accused Sex Trafficker Jeffrey Epstein Commits Suicide in Jail

Facing dozens of charges of trafficking Jeffrey Epstein has committed suicide in a Manhattan jail.

Allegations against the wealthy financier came to light earlier this year and have suggested hundreds of high-profile people may be entangled in the scandal.

According to The Daily Beast, a young woman identified as Virginia Giuffre alleges Epstein and socialite Ghislaine Maxwell kept her as a sex slave according to court records unsealed Friday.

The publication writes: “Giuffre, who says that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to powerful people for erotic massages and sex, claimed in depositions in 2016 that Maxwell directed her to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Britain’s Prince Andrew, former senator George Mitchell and more.  The woman once worked at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort.”

She also alleges that while working as a teenage locker room attendant at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort nearly two decades ago she was recruited to give Epstein massages that often involved sexual activity.

Three law enforcement in New York told ABC News that Epstein hung himself. He was found this morning around 6:30AM Eastern.

He had been on suicide watch since an  a couple of weeks ago when Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell with marks on his neck.

Epstein, 66, pleaded not guilty to the charges. He faced up to 45 years in prison if convicted.
