Raven VaronaCardi B may be a “regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx,” but in a new interview for New York Magazine‘s The Cut, she reveals she’s been moving in some pretty impressive circles these days.
Describing what it was like meeting Jennifer Lopez backstage at a benefit event, she tells The Cut, “I just kept acting like a f***ing weirdo, but I think she understands. “Man, I met Beyoncé, too. Who else I gonna meet? Jesus?”
After a year spent topping the charts and hanging with celebrities, Cardi says she’s not sure how 2018 could be better, but it will have something this year didn’t have: a wedding to her fiance, Migos member Offset.
“The world is not ready for it. Everybody got to be wearing red,” she explains, adding, “And my bridesmaids are gonna be wearing suits! What’s good!”
The near future may also bring some major changes to Cardi’s appearance.
According to The Cut, she asked her publicist if she could have three weeks off in December she could get a nose job,
What’s certain is that over the past year, Cardi’s certainly come to understand the ups and downs of fame. The former exotic dancer explains, “You be seeing these artists going through their meltdowns and f*****g s***, and you be like, ‘Why you doing all of that? You’re famous, you’re a f*****g millionaire, why?’ B****, I’m broke, I want to shave my head.”
But she says when it finally happened to her, she realized how tough it is to always be in the public eye.
“Then when you in those shoes, it’s just like, ‘I see why people go crazy. This s*** is not what it f****** seems'” she admits.
“But I can’t complain.”
