Alicia Keys performed Friday morning as part of Good Morning America‘s Summer Concert Series. The Grammy-winning singer performed her hits, including “You Don’t Know My Name,” “Fire We Make” and “Girl on Fire,” which she explained wasn’t just for women.
“I feel like it’s for all of us that song,” the 32-year-old said. “No matter what you might be going through or…what you might be feeling…we are always strong and we can always get through it.”
Alicia also recently celebrated her third wedding anniversary with rapper Swizz Beatz. She said the song “Fire We Make” was inspired by her husband. “It’s hot. And fiery,” she said of their relationship.
Alicia is also busy preparing for the October 11 opening of her upcoming film that she’s producing, titled The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, starring Jennifer Hudson and Anthony Mackie.
“It’s going to move you. You are going to love this film,” Alicia promised.
