Alicia Keys serves as the co-music director and executive producer of the new film The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, so it should come as no surprise that she’s contributed a new original song, “Better Me, Better You,” to the film’s official soundtrack.
“I know I’m gonna make it/ I’ve come too far to lose it/ I’ve gotta stay focused and find a better me,” sings Alicia on the empowering song, which was posted on her YouTube page.
The George Tillman Jr-directed film, starring Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks, is in theaters now.
