Alicia Keys, The Weeknd, A Tribe Called Quest & Anderson .Paak to Create Grammy Moments

Image Group LA/ABCThe Grammy Awards telecast is famous for its signature “Grammy Moments” team-ups, which feature team-ups of artists who normally don’t perform together. This year’s telecast, airing February 12, is no different.

Alicia Keys will team up with Best New Artist nominee, country star Maren Morris, to perform. The two previously collaborated on an episode of Country Music Television’s Crossroads program. 

Two-time Grammy nominee Anderson .Paak is joining legendary hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest and Foo Fighters frontman and 15-time Grammy award winner Dave Grohl. Anderson is nominated for Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album for his sophomore studio project, Malibu

In addition, The Weeknd will perform with Daft Punk, the French electronic duo with whom he collaborated on his hit single “Starboy.”

While The Weeknd’s album came out to late in the year for Grammy consideration, he is nominated this year for his contribution to Beyonce’s nominated album Lemonade. Weeknd was the recipient of two Grammy awards in 2016 for Best R&B Performance and Best Urban Contemporary Album. 

Those artists will join previously announced performers Adele, John Legend, Bruno Mars, MetallicaCarrie Underwood and Keith Urban on the telecast, which will be hosted by James Corden live from the STAPLES center in Los Angeles.
