AMERICAN AIRLINES PLANS TO FURLOUGH WORKERS IN OCTOBER

The coronavirus pandemic has already left millions without jobs, and it looks like American Airlines will have a second wave of people furloughed once again. Coming October, American Airlines will furlough over 17,000 union workers. The CEO Doug Parker and President Robert Isom state; “Today is the hardest message we have had to share so far – the announcement of involuntary staffing reductions effective October 1st. This involuntary furlough includes 8,000 flight attendants and over 1,000 pilots. All union workers will be able to go back to work once the economy starts to recover.
