Randy HendersonDreamville’s Ari Lennox set the R&B world on fire with her debut EP Shea Butter Baby last year. The singer has blessed us once again releasing a remixed version of her highly-acclaimed EP, boasting features from Durand Bernarr and Smino and production credits from label head J. Cole.
The remixed EP features an alternate version of her platinum single, “BMO” with a guest appearance from Doja Cat. Don’t be alarmed, the soulful vibe from Ari’s esteemed vocals are still present, including remakes of “I Been” and “Facetime.”
Shea Butter Baby, the follow up to 2016’s PHO, was released last May, featuring the gold-certified title track with J. Cole, “New Apartment,” “Whipped Cream,” and the steamy track “Up Late.” Ari went on to headline her sold-out Shea Butter Baby Tour before joining Lizzo’s Cuz I Love You Tour.
Lennox and her Dreamville labelmates dropped off their Grammy-nominated Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation album last June.
