Last month, Ashanti teased a new single, “Let’s Go,” as part of a collaboration with first lady Michelle Obama‘s Partnership for a Healthier America and its Drink Up effort, which encourages everyone to drink more water, more often. After issuing a “dehydrated” version of her song, the singer has finally shared the completed song, thanks to the donated drops of water that fans submitted by using hashtag #DrinkUpAshanti.
“It was such an honor to collaborate once again with first lady Michelle Obama’s Partnership for a Healthier America and its Drink Up effort,” Ashanti said in a statement. “I love that my words can be used as encouragement to live a healthier lifestyle. Drinking water is an essential part to living life, so remember to Drink Up!”
The full version of “Let’s Go,” which is being released on Ashanti’s own label Written Entertainment, is now for sale on iTunes.
