Gospel great BeBe Winans is among celebrities that found themselves battling COVID-19.
While he continues to recuperate from the deadly virus, he tok IG to talk about his diagnosis and recovery.
Winans told SiriusXM’s The Joe Madison Show that he started experiencing symptoms after a flight to Detroit to attend a funeral.
He and family members had apparently fallen ill before the outbreak started but said he saw the news and didn’t think it would happen to him.
“Sometimes, for some reason, we as a people when we look in and we look at television and various things that’s going on around us, we somehow say, that can’t happen to me for some reason. … I just started coughing out of nowhere….and then the fatigue came on, and the chills, and (my) appetite went away.”
Not only did he contact the virus, his brother and his mother also contacted it. He believes it was when he recently traveled to New York to attend a funeral. BeBe said that he did not require hospitalization; but, such was not the case for his brother.
“My brother, now, got to the point where he had to go to the hospital … A fever and pneumonia set in and so for four or five days, he was there.”
Their mother was sick for about “four or five days.”
