Parkwood/ColumbiaBET was severely stung by the Bey-hive Thursday after declaring that Rihanna‘s ANTI album was better than Beyonce‘s Lemonade.
In a tweet that was later deleted by the BET, but captured by HipHollywood, the network wrote, “Sooo…Can We Admit That #ANTI > #Lemonade?” That was followed by an anchor emoji, some grater-than signs, and then a bee emoji — apparently signifying Rihanna’s Navy and Beyonce’s Bey-hive.
Immediately after the tweet went viral, the Bey-hive went up in arms about their queen, with one fan tweeting, “Let’s be completely honest. Rihanna is nowhere near Beyoncé’s Level. Beyoncé’s Lemonade is her best album to date. It’s a masterpiece.”
BET apparently caved under the pressure, deleting their initial post, tweeting “‘We Take Beyonce for Granted’ don’t be fooled by #hater #BeyHive stand up.”
The network has yet to respond to the backlash. The BET Awards airs Sunday, June 26th.
