Raven Varona/Parkwood/PictureGroupThe Beyhive and Beyonce’s critics are battling on social media following complaints that Queen Bey waited too long to endorse Texas senate candidate Beto O’Rourke. O’Rourke ended up losing to incumbent Ted Cruz on Tuesday night.

Beyonce posted three photos on Instagram of herself wearing a “Beto for Senate” hat Tuesday afternoon and commented, “I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right.”

“We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable,” she continued. “Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day! Every vote counts. Every race matters. Everywhere.”

One person commented that the 22-time Grammy winner should have endorsed O’Rourke before the day people were supposed to go to the polls.

“You have such a huge, influential voice and you wait until Election Day to post this?!” a follower wrote. “Beto needed you sooner. Maybe you could’ve actually made a difference.”

Another person shared the same thought, commenting, “I worship and adore you, but you couldn’t have posted these pics and voiced your support for @betoorourke months ago?!?!?! #beto2020

The Beyhive came to Beyonce’s defense.

“SERIOUSLY! I was like what’s wrong w these people! She’s human. Lives an everyday life just like us. She does enough for the world. People are nvr satisfied,” one person wrote.

Another person commented, ”We gonna find one Black woman to blame the lost on? YALL NOT GONNA BLAME BEY FOR THIS BS.”

Cruz won the election with 51 percent of the vote.
