Beyonce launching Coachella-inspired fashion line to benefit United Negro College Fund

by

ABC/Image Group LAFans will soon be able to wear the college-themed fashions Beyonce performed in during her Coachella set in April.

The Balmain fashion company announced Tuesday the custom made garments Queen Bey wore at Coachella will be available for sale beginning July 13 in Paris, and July 14 worldwide, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new collection features monogrammed “BK” hoodies in black, yellow and pink, and will benefit the United Negro College Fund.

“I can say today, with absolute confidence, that collaborating with Beyonce on her Coachella concerts is destined to be one of the most important and treasured memories of my career,” Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing said in a statement.

He added that he’s honored to collaborate with Beyonce.

“She’s a goddess, blessed with an incredibly beautiful voice and a moral vision to match,” Rousteing said. “She’s a powerful, inspirational woman who isn’t about to accept any limitation. And, she’s a joy to work with.”

Beyoncé previously released her Coachella merchandise on her website in April, however the clothes were not based on her designs, and were not manufactured by Balmain.

The Beyonce/Balmain collection will premiere at Balmain’s Paris flagship store from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 13, and then at other Balmain boutiques the following day, July 14.
