Beyonce Reveals Vegan Diet Results on ABC’s Good Morning America


Robin HarperEarlier this year, Beyonce announced that she was teaming with exercise physiologist Marco Borges to launch 22 Days Nutrition, a home-delivery meal service based on Borges’ vegan diet plan, The 22 Day Revolution.  On Monday’s Good Morning America, Beyonce spoke for the first time on camera about how the plant-based diet has changed her life.

“I am not naturally the thinnest woman,” Beyonce told GMA. “I have curves, I’m proud of my curves, and I have struggled since a young age with diets and finding something that actually works, actually keeps the weight off, has been difficult for me.”

Once Beyonce and husband Jay Z committed to the 22-day vegan diet challenge during the winter of 2013, she’s never looked back.  Beyonce told GMA the diet has benefits other than weight loss.

“I felt like my skin was really firm, a lot tighter than when I deprived myself of food and got the weight off fast,” she explained. “And the weight stayed off.”

Beyonce will appear on Tuesday’s Good Morning America as well, to talk about what she’s personally doing about the plight of children in Haiti via her BeyGood charitable campaign.  She visited the island last month on a humanitarian trip.
