“This holiday season while many are stressed with what they will do next regarding their housing, we are proud to share some GOOD news. Beyoncé is giving $5,000 grants to individuals and families facing foreclosures or evictions,” read a statement on Beyonce.com.

This marks the second phase of Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Small Business Impact fund, which has issued $10,000 grants to over 250 small businesses to date.

“Beyoncé is continuing her heart of support and helping where needed most,” the website statement continues. “When we were faced with the pandemic caused by COVID-19, BeyGOOD created a plan to make a difference. We assisted organizations across the country that were providing people with basic needs like food, water, household supplies, and COVID testing. We also provided mental health support.”

Those interested in receiving support should submit all necessary documentation to the NAACP once the application process opens on January 7th, 2021, after which 100 people will be selected. The grants will be distributed in late January, followed by a second-round pick of applicants in February.

According to the statement, Beyoncé’s BEYGood foundation will make another grant announcement next week, revealing the December recipients of help from the Small Business Impact Fund.

“Keep the faith, remain in hope [and] together we can all help,” read a statement on the foundation’s Instagram.
