Beyoncé’s Dangerously in Love Album Surpasses Five Million Sold

Billboard reports the project has now sold more than five million copies in the U.S after being released in 2003. To date, the set serves as Beyoncé’s best-selling solo effort, following 2006’s B’Day, which sold 3.41 million sold; 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce, with 3.2 million; 2011’s 4, with 1.5 million; and her 2013 self-titled album, which sold 2.3 million copies. Thanks to her platinum-selling albums, Beyoncé has sold 16 million solo albums in the U.S.

Dangerously In Love spawned the hit singles “Crazy in Love” with Jay Z, “Baby Boy,” “Naughty Girl,” and “Me, Myself and I.”
