Beyonce’s Lemonade Is Rolling Stone’s Album of the Year


Parkwood/ColumbiaHonors continue to roll in for Beyonce as Rolling Stone has chosen her album Lemonade the best album of 2016.

“Beyonce shut everyone else down this year with a soul-on-fire masterpiece, testifying about love, rage and betrayal that felt all too true in the America of 2016,” comments about her sixth studio album.

The magazine adds that the album is even more significant now following the bitter presidential campaign.

“It’s a whole album of hurt, which is why it especially hit home after the election,” says Rolling Stone.

Beyonce’s sister Solange also makes the Top 50 of the year, ranking number eleven with A Seat at the Table.

Other artists on the list include Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book, in at #3, Frank Ocean’s Blonde, in at #5, Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo, in at #8, Young Thug‘s Jeffrey, in at #10, Rihanna’s Anti-, at #25, Alicia Keys’ Here at #32 and Drake’s Views at #42.
