Bill Cosby Granted an Appeal of 2018 Sexual Assault Conviction

Lawyers for disgraced funnyman, actor and philanthropist Bill Cosby are preparing arguments for the appeal of his 2018 sexual assault conviction.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed granted an appeal late last month to review two points that have been challenged.   Cosby, 82, was convicted by a jury in April 2018 of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.

• The court said it would consider Cosby’s argument that the trial judge should not have allowed five other accusers to testify about their own prior allegations against him.

• The court will also examine Cosby’s claim that he had an agreement with a former prosecutor that he would never be charged in the case.
