Blue Ivy take us behind the scenes of Beyonce’s Vogue cover shoot

by

Tyler Mitchell for VogueBeyonce covers the September issue of Vogue, and her six-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, takes us on a behind the scenes video of the photo shoot.

Blue opens the clip saying, “I’m going to zoom in for you guys, okay?,” and the video is seen through her eyes. The video was directed by Tyler Mitchell, who also shot the cover, becoming the first black photographer in the magazine’s 126-year history to shoot the cover.

Curtis Mayfield’s “The Makings Of You” from his 1970 debut solo album, Curtis, plays throughout the video.

The clip also includes brief glimpses of Beyonce and JAY-Z’s 14-month-old twins, Rumi and Sir. In the cover story, Beyonce revealed that she needed emergency surgery to deliver her babies.

“I was 218 pounds,” she said. “I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month. My health and my babies’ health were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section. We spent many weeks in the [Neonatal] ICU.”

Beyonce and JAY-Z are now continuing their On The Run II tour which wraps up October 4 in Seattle.
