Brandy‘s latest effort, “Love Again,” featuring Daniel Caesar, has officially entered the top 10 of Billboard‘s Adult R&B Songs chart.

Climbing to #9 on this week’s tally, the duet surprisingly accounts for the Grammy-winning vocalist’s highest charting single in 20 years. Her phenomenal ballad “Almost Doesn’t Count,” lifted from her sophomore album Never Say Never, peaked at #2 on the Adult R&B Songs chart in 1999.

Brandy previously came closest to another Adult R&B Songs top-ten hit in 2012, with the Monica-assisted single “It All Belongs to Me.” The singers’ iconic collaboration “The Boy is Mine” yielded equal results when it initially placed on the same chart in 1998.

Four years prior, Brandy made her mark on the Adult R&B Songs chart with her debut single, “I Wanna Be Down.” The breakout hit rose to #5 and soon after, she racked up a slew of other top-10 hits on that chart including “Best Friend,” “Baby,” “Sittin’ Up in My Room,” “Brokenhearted,” “Missing You,” featuring Tamia, and “Have You Ever.”

Brandy’s yet-to-be-titled seventh studio album is underway and due to arrive later his year via Brand Nu Entertainment/Entertainment One. The singer has been working on the project for more than a year alongside hitmaking producer DJ Camper
