Brian McKnight is prepping a major comeback for 2019.
The veteran vocalist has returned to gift fans with a fresh single titled “When I’m Gone.” The tender ballad finds Knight sending a heartfelt message to his lover, as they try to endure being separated from one another.
The dialed-down record’s accompanying visual, which Knight has continued to tease, is due to arrive on Friday. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the “Anytime” singer shared a preview of the impending video.
“Don’t miss the world premiere of the video for my new single ‘When I’m Gone’ this Friday,” Knight captioned a clip of the visual, which features a montage of him performing before a sea of fans.
“When I’m Gone,” as well as another track called “42 (Grown Up Tipsy)” are set to appear on Knight’s forthcoming 14th studio album, which has yet to be named. The project will serve as a follow-up to 2017’s Genius, which featured the singles “Forever” and “I Want You.”
