Jeff Neira/CBSIt looks like Childish Gambino, the nom du rap of actor Donald Glover, is wiping the slate clean…or at least his Twitter account.
The Atlanta creator has changed his Twitter handle from “Childish Gambino” to “@donaldglover” and has also deleted all previously written tweets.
As of Wednesday morning, only the words “@donaldglover hasn’t Tweeted yet” are featured.
Perhaps this move by the multi-talented star is further proof that Donald was serious when he said backstage at the Grammys on Sunday that his next Childish Gambino album would be his last.
Donald’s comments came after he’d won his first Grammy under that name, in the category of Best Traditional R&B performance.
Oddly, though, Glover signed a new deal last week with RCA Records.
“I’m really appreciative of this [Grammy] and…I’m making another project right now…but I like endings. And I think they’re important to progress,” he said.
Last year, Glover hinted at his retirement from music during his performance at the Governors Ball music festival in New York. While onstage, he told fans, “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album.”
