Cameras Allowed For Remaining R. Kelly Proceedings; Child Support Not Reduced

The judge overseeing R. Kelly’s upcoming trial ruled that cameras will be allowed in the courthouse during the trial.

“The coverage is allowed for the next hearing on the 22nd, and all remaining proceedings for the latest charges of sexual assault against Kelly.  Judge Lawrence Flood made the ruling on Friday, and according to Rolling Stone, Kelly was not in the courtroom during but does not object.

And, after being jailed over a week ago for failing to pay child support (and subsequently release after someone paid it), a Cook County judge has refused to lower the payments to his ex-wife, according to his attorneys. The current payments are $21,000 a month… he had fallen behind to the tune of $161,000.
