Paras Griffin/Getty ImagesCongratulations to Keith Sweat, who’s just notched his second career #1 on Billboard‘s Adult R&B songs chart.
The song that did the trick is “Boomerang,” featuring Candace Price. His previous #1 came with the song “Good Love” in 2016.
“Boomerang” is from Sweat’s most recent album Playing for Keeps, which came out last fall. It includes features from Tank, K-Ci, Akon and Teddy Riley.
It’s hard to believe that in his decades-long career, this is only Sweat’s second trip to the top of this chart, which started in 1993, but over the years, he’s racked up 10 top 10 hits on the tally as a solo artist.
He scored two additional two top 10s as a member of the group LSG, with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill.
