Can’t Get Enough of Your Music: New Barry White box set collects soul great’s first nine albums

by

Mercury/UMeContinuing the 45th anniversary celebration of Barry White‘s first release on 20th Century Records, an expansive box set gathering all of the albums the late soul legend put out on the label will hit stores on October 26.

Barry White: The 20th Century Records Albums (1973-1979) will be available as a nine-CD box set and a nine-LP 180-gram vinyl package.

The 20th Century Records Albums collection spans from White’s 1973 solo debut, I’ve Got So Much to Give, through his 1979 record I Love to Sing the Songs I Sing. The collection also includes the deep-voiced crooner’s 1974 chart-topping release Can’t Get Enough and his platinum-selling records Barry White Sings for Someone You Love and The Man, from, respectively, 1977 and ’78.

Throughout the ’70s, White was a fixture on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to his popular orchestral soul productions. Almost every top 20 pop hit he had appear on the albums featured in the box set, including “Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up,” the #1 smash “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe,” “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything,” “What Am I Gonna Do with You” and “It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me.”

Each 180-gram vinyl disc featured in the Barry White: The 20th Century Records Albums (1973-1979) collection also will be released individually on October 26.

Here’s the complete list of albums appearing in the box set:
