According to E! Online, the “WAP” rapper hopped on Instagram live Monday to address rumors around the reasoning for her filing. Contrary to some reports, Cardi said it has nothing to do with Offset cheating, or claims that he “got a girl pregnant.”
“That is why I be telling y’all to stop believing what people be saying,” she said. “These blogs are saying, especially blogs that have a certain type of hatred towards me.”
Instead, Cardi insists the split had everything to do with “not seeing things eye to eye” and nothing to do with anything “that ever happened before.”
“I[‘ve] been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man; I have a household with this man,” Cardi admitted. “Sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments…and before something happens, you leave.”
This comes just a few days after Cardi previously thanked fans for the “love and prayers” she’s received since news broke of her divorce filing. Offset has a long history of cheating on Cardi throughout their four-year relationship, but Cardi says this time, she has “not shed one tear.”
“Every single time that this guy has done something so crazy and it hits the media, I’m always crying, always stressed because I don’t like that type of [stuff],” Cardi said on Instagram Live Friday.
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset on Sept. 14 in Fulton County, Ga, citing in court documents that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” The couple secretly married in September 2017 and share a 2-year-old daughter, Kulture.
