by

Facebook.com/2Chainz; ANDREW ZAEH/AtlanticTuesday sees the release of two long-awaited albums: Janelle Monae‘s The Electric Lady and 2 Chainz‘s B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time. While many fans counted down the days until release, both artists are relieved their respective projects are available in stores and online.

For the rapper, he could hardly concentrate in the days leading up to release. On Monday, 2 Chainz tweeted, “This album is all I’m thinking about at the moment forgive me if I’m not doin’ something for you,” adding that the project will be the “album of the year.” On the album’s launch date, he wrote, “I’m like a kid can’t sleep I’m up and at it” and quickly reminded fans that the deluxe version comes with three bonus tracks and a cookbook.

For Janelle, she’s still reeling over the support that she’s received from her loyal fans. Early Tuesday morning, she tweeted, “Y’all I remember selling CDs out my boarding house!! With just a about a 100 Followers. This day just makes me so thankful. So thankful.” Diddy, who served as one of the album’s executive producers, chimed in with, “Be sure to go support my little sister Janelle Monae today is amazing!!”
