ABC/Ida Mae AstuteChaka Khan is set to hit the road with Michael McDonald this coming spring into summer.
Kicking off in April, the two musical giants will begin their trek of live shows in Memphis. Khan and McDonald will then perform in select cities across the country such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland. The tour will eventually wrap on August 4 in Rohnert Park, California, at the Green Music Center.
Aside from her concerts with McDonald, Khan will venture out on her own to headline a slew of festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in May.
The performance dates are in support of Hello Happiness, Khan’s first album since 2007’s Grammy-winning album, Funk This. The record includes the previously released title track and “Like Sugar.”
