RCA RecordsCharlie Wilson has an early Valentine’s Day present for his fans.

The former Gap Band lead singer dropped his new single, “Forever Valentine,” on Friday, co-written and co-produced by Bruno Mars.

Uncle Charlie sings, “I don’t need the 14th to show how much you mean to me…Will you be mine? My forever valentine/Say you will and make me the happiest man alive.”

Wilson performed on the final leg of Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour in 2019, and Bruno worked on the song with his production team, the Stereotypes and D’Mile. Charlie feels so close to them, he calls them family.

“I had so much fun working on this record with my nephews @BrunoMars, @Stereotypestv & @DMile85,” Charlie commented as he posted the lyric video on Instagram.

Bruno posted a photo of them two of them and wrote, “The world could use a little love right about now and who better to bring it to you than one of the greatest of all time. Uncle @imcharliewilson. I had the Honor to produce and sing a little background for him with my Bro’s @stereotypestv and @dmile85.”

Wilson will perform on the Grammy Awards on January 26th.  Don’t be surprised if Bruno, who’s an 11-time Grammy winner, joins him on stage.
