Chloe x Halle drop highly-anticipated album ‘Ungodly Hour,’ featuring a new visual for Forgive Me

by

Freeform/Art StreiberChloe x Halle had fans on social media comparing them to Aaliyah in the dark, dreamy new visual for their latest single, “Forgive Me,” from their sophomore album Ungodly Hour, both released today.

Less than 12 hours after it dropped, the classy R&B album hit #1 on iTunes.  “Already? No Way,” the sister duo tweeted earlier Friday, apparently in shock.

The girls are all grown up and ready to turn up on Ungodly Hour, delivering 13 tracks about self-worth, relationships woes, and love on fan-favorites “Tipsy, “Busy Boy,” and previous singles “Do It,” and “Catch Up” with Swae Lee.

“For Ungodly Hour, we were so excited to just flip the narrative of being the perfect angel and show the other side[s] of us.…,” Halle shared with Teen Vogue as June’s cover star. “The dark side, the naughty side, the things that happen that you don’t see behind the scenes.”

Chloe revealed Ungodly Hour‘s title came about after hearing the phrase while working with U.K. EDM duo Disclosure, with whom they wrote the album’s title track: “It kind of stuck out to all of us, and we were like, ‘What can you say with this?'”

She continued, “We all came up with this sentence: ”Love me at the Ungodly Hour, which means love me when I’m at my worst; love me when I’m not all dolled up and made up. …Love me when all my insecurities are out on the table.”

You can stream Chloe x Halle’s Ungodly Hour now on iTunes or Spotify.
