After having his visa application denied, Chris Brown is making his case as to why he should be allowed to perform this December in Australia.

The singer took to Twitter to reveal his plans on raising awareness about domestic violence following his 2009 conviction for assaulting Rihanna, which is among the main reasons why several anti-domestic violence groups in Australia have called for Brown to be banned from entry.

“I would be more than grateful to come to Australia to raise awareness about domestic violence. I’m not the pink elephant in the room anymore,” he tweeted. “My life mistakes should be a wake up call for everyone. Showing the world that mistakes don’t define you. Trying to prevent spousal abuse.”

As previously reported, Brown has been given a notice that his visa request has been denied and that he has 28 days to present material as to why he should be given a visa to enter Australia.
