After getting engaged last month, Chrisette Michele is focusing on music again. As she works on her follow-up to 2013’s Better, the singer has released a new single called “Steady,” which was posted on SoundCloud.

The hard-hitting tune, produced by produced by Blickie Blaze of Four Kings Productions, is just sample of the direction she’s heading in for her next project, which will be released through her own imprint, Rich Hipster, via Capitol/Caroline records.

“I’m ready to play. I miss being a choreographer,” Michelle tells MissInfo.TV. “I miss my leather pants. I miss being excited. I love my ballads and there will be some in this new album, Milestone, but it’s time to let my hair down and step outside of the box.

While she remained mum on the release date, Michele adds: “I can’t wait to share.”
