Chrissy Teigen reveals she had a jealous meltdown on set of John Legend’s “Green Light video

by

ABC/Rick PowellChrissy Teigen is admitting that back in 2008, she was in a jealous rage when John Legend shot his “Green Light” video, which featured him surrounded by beautiful models.

“I had a jealousy-fueled meltdown visiting this video set and made an a**hole out of myself to a large group of people”, she tweeted. Sunday marked the tenth anniversary of the song’s release.

In the “Green Light” video, Legend sings to a woman he’s admiring, “Do I have a girlfriend?/Technically no…We could go all night/Give me the green light.”

The Lip Sync Battle co-host wrote that her rage “began with our friends (john’s managers and co-writers and a couple others) talking about how BEAAAAAAUUUUTIFUL some of the women were…and they were.”

”But in my mind they not only were talking about it, they were talking about it on purpose to rile me up,” Teigen added. “Looking back and knowing how well I know them now, THEY WERE DEFINITELY RILING ME UP AND GETTING A KICK OUT OF IT.”

“Keep in mind john and I met on a video,” Teigen tweeted. “I was that girl! I know how this s**t works!”

Teigen met Legend in 2007 when she starred in his “Stereo” video. They were engaged in 2011, and married in 2013.

The supermodel remembered that, as the video shoot progressed, her fury became uncontrollable.

“A few more shoulder touches and laughs with [the model] later, I lost it,” she recalled. “Anger turned to sobbing turned to fleeing the set and getting a hotel room. The director (ALAN FERGUSON) was baffled. Everyone was.”

Teigen concluded her series of tweets, writing, “I was just a jealous, angry 22 year old. I’m better now. BUT DONT TEST ME.”
