Epic RecordsAfter announcing her headlining tour early Tuesday morning, Ciara has now unveiled the official cover of her sixth album, Jackie.
The artwork sees a topless CiCi wearing only jeans while covering her breasts with one arm. “My Favorite Lp Artwork To Date!” she said in an Instagram post, adding that the cover was shot by Francesco Carrozzini and noting on Twitter that Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, served as creative director for the cover.
Fans quickly noticed that Ci Ci may have been inspired by Janet Jackson‘s Damita Jo cover, in which the legendary singer is also topless and wearing jeans. “That picture has Janet Jackson written all over it. I see you,” one Twitter fan replied to Ciara’s tweet.
Led by the first single “I Bet,” Jackie is slated to arrive sometime in May — likely around the time Ciara kicks off her tour on May 3.
