Getty Images via ABCCiara may have to cough up more than a handful of tweets to win her lawsuit against her ex-fiancée, Future.
According to TMZ, a judge ruled Wednesday that Future’s negative tweets about his ex are not libelous on their face.
That means if she wants to prove Future libeled her and damaged her career, she won’t be able to rely on mean tweets alone.
Ciara’s suit claims that Future’s words have cost her several lucrative endorsement deals, and according to a published report, Ciara has asked the court to prohibit Future from posting or speaking negatively against the singer on social media.
