The surviving members of the group, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chili” Thomas, are planning to release their Kickstarter-funded album this summer.

TLC’s manager Bill Diggins wrote on the album’s Kickstarter page, “On behalf of TLC and myself I want to express our most sincere thanks for your patience on waiting for the album. I am thrilled to let you know that the album is tentatively scheduled to be released at the end of June and you will receive our advance album prior to that,” he begins.

“This album could not have happened without your support and your confidence in TLC has inspired us greatly to make the best album possible,” he adds.

According to the Kickstarter page, more than 4,000 people together pledged $430,255 for the group’s campaign to create their fifth and final studio project. The album will be TLC’s first since third member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was killed in a car accident in 2002.

Saturday, February 25, also marked the 25th anniversary of the trio’s groundbreaking 1992 debut album, Oooooooh, On the TLC Tip.
