The GOOD+ Foundation provides low-income families with social services, and educational support. One of its goals is to help men become better fathers.
“Becoming a father made me see the world differently, and the love I have for my daughter is unparalleled,” Common says in a statement.
“I’m passionate about our youth and making sure they with their families have the necessary items and tools to succeed,” he continues. “That is why I am so proud to support GOOD+ Foundation and their groundbreaking work for a night of comedy and music.”
At the event, Common will hit the stage with Robert Gasper and Karriem Riggins, who together perform as the group August Greene.
The benefit, subtitled “An Evening of Comedy + Music,” will also feature Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan, and comedian Leslie Jones from Saturday Night Live.
