DaBaby wants to collaborate with Jay-Z

Comedian Lil Duval referred to rapper DaBaby as the “Ludacris” of today’s generation for his entertaining music videos, such as today’s “Red Light Green Light.” Yet the North Carolina rapper only seems concerned with landing a feature from one of the hottest rappers in the game.

“Who I gotta talk to to get Jay-Z on a song?” DaBaby tweeted early Friday. Fans in the comments began to remind DaBaby that Jay’s Roc Nation label manages his former friend, Megan Thee Stallion.

“[Man] you blew it by beefing with Meg. That’s her boss, mane. He always stands by his women on his label,” one fan tweeted.

DaBaby and Megan had a brief exchange on Twitter last week after DaBaby recently filmed a music video for a previously recorded song with Megan’s alleged shooter, Tory Lanez. As previously reported, Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, pleaded not guilty in an ongoing case stemming from when Megan was shot in both of her feet in Hollywood Hills last July.

Next, DaBaby will perform at the 2021 BET Awards this Sunday, where he and Megan Thee Stallion lead with seven nominations each.
