Dallas County Shelter-in-Place reduces Dallas ISD meals to once a week due to COVID-19

by

All students have been sent home due to the coronavirus, leading to high demand for food for those that receive free lunch at school. Dallas ISD is now cutting it’s food services to once a week. Starting next week, Thursday will be the only day parents and students can receive meals at 47 different locations. Though with this new agreement, families will be able to pick up one week’s worth of meals at once. This is a way to prevent the constant strict rules of leaving their homes and could help in the prevention of catching the virus.
