Dallas County: ‘Unknown Number’ of Primary Ballots NOT Counted

In addition to the long lines seen in certain areas of Dallas County on Election Day, now comes news that Dallas County election officials have asked the state Secretary of State’s office for a recount of the Super Tuesday primary after discovering that ballots from 44 voting machines have not been accounted for.

Dallas County election administrator Toni Pippins-Poole said her office made the as discovery after officials were not able to reconcile the number of voters who checked in to cast ballots at some polling places and the number of ballots received.

The exact number of missing ballots is not known.  A total of  454 vote centers were open on Election Day.
