Allen Berezovsky/Getty ImagesWhile the Internet is still buzzing about the news that MTV is bringing back Making the Band, Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day has a message for Diddy.
In a recent interview with The Blast, the singer-turned-reality star offered up a few creative suggestions for the network’s revival of the talent competition series, which launched Danity Kane, O-Town, Day 26and Donnie Klang.
“You know, I’m happy when any new artist gets an opportunity to shine and to develop, but I do think that MTV needs to bring back, along with Making the Band, a Danity Kane show with our family that we created on the network with Day26 [and] Donnie Klang,” O’Day told The Blast.
She added, “We won’t stop until we get it.”
The vocalist appeared on the series from 2005-2006, as part of Danity Kane, which also included Dawn Richards, Shannon Bex, Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett and Aundrea Fimbres.
The group scored two number one albums and two top-10 singles: “Show Stopper” and “Damaged.” In 2008, Woodgett left the group; Fimbres left in 2014.
“I think it would be really interested to see Diddy repair what he broke on national television,” O’Day continued, insinuating that the hip-hop mogul is the one who caused Danity Kane to split.
“And, I think it would be really interesting for him to show the world that he can come full circle with redemption with all of us.”
Danity Kane has since seen a revival of its own with O’Day, Richards and Bex in the lineup. The ladies are currently on tour and recently gifted fans with their newest effort “Neon Lights.”
