Did Diddy officially change his name to Love?

by

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaDiddy definitely has a lot of love to share. So much so, that he’s reportedly decided to change his name.

After filing a petition to change his name in October 2019, a source confirms to Entertainment Tonight that Sean John Combs is now Sean Love Combs.

The Blast reports that Diddy did not attend the hearing at the L.A. County Courtroom to get his name change. Instead, the court issued an order reportedly saying, “no appearance is necessary. The petition will be GRANTED.”

Combs — who has gone by many an alias, including Puffy DaddyPuffyP. Diddy and Diddy — first brought up the name change idea in 2017 when he told fans he would be going by “Love,” and the extended variation, “Brother Love.” However, a few days later, he retracted his announcement, saying he was only joking.

Now it seems Diddy is ready to make “Love” his focus. Just yesterday he shared a special prayer with fans where he asked for “peace” in their lives. He then added an uplifting caption, sharing his new name.

“Peace to all HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY! LOVE,” he wrote.
