Juan Moore/Getty ImagesDiddy, DJ Khaled, Quavo from Migos, Monica and Fat Joe showed their support for Florida governor candidate Andrew Gillum by performing at a rally Monday night in Tallahassee.
“We are in the midst of a black excellence moment, and we have the opportunity to make history,” Diddy said after flying in from his 49th birthday party Sunday in Los Angeles, according to Tallahassee.com.
“That’s how much I believe in this man, Andrew Gillum. I believe he’s going to make a change. It’s an honor for me to be here,” he added.
Gillum is currently mayor of Tallahassee, and is attempting to become Florida’s first African-American governor.
Khaled posted an Instagram video of all the performers at the rally screaming the theme, “Bring It Home.”
The “Bring It Home” rally at Florida A&M University’s Lawson Center also featured appearances by Tiffany Haddish, her Night School movie producer Will Packer, and CNN political commentator Angela Rye.
