Djimon Hounsou says he hasn’t seen his son with Kimora Lee Simmons in a long time

Jerritt Clark/Getty ImagesDjimon Hounsou apparently had rough father’s day on Sunday.

In an interview with TMZ, the Blood Diamond actor says that he hasn’t seen his son, Kenzo, whose mother is Baby Phat CEO Kimora Lee Simmons, in a very long time.

“It would have been nice to see my son for Father’s Day,” Hounsou tells the cameraman. “It would have also been nice if I could see him to at least talk to him– like all fathers.”

When the camera man asks Hounsou the last time he saw his son, the actor puts up his hand signaling the number five — although he doesn’t clarify if it’s been five months or five years.

He then says, “I can’t even recall.”

However, apparently later that day, Hounsou did show some Father’s Day spirit by posting a photo of himself and his son together with the caption, “#happyFathersDay to all fathers #KLH.”

Kimora and Djimon dated between 2007 and 2012; Kenzo was born in 2009.

Kimora has yet to publicly respond to Hounsou’s comments.
