by

ABC/Randy Holmes Donald Glover‘s This Is America farewell tour has officially come to a close, but not without the “Redbone” star giving his fans one last memorable performance.

Monday night, Glover shared a heartfelt moment with the crowd at The Forum in Los Angeles as he reflected on the loss of his father earlier this month.

“I lost my father a couple weeks ago,” he revealed to the audience in a fan captured video. “I wanted to play him some of the new songs, but he didn’t want to hear them because he was like, ‘I know they’ll be great.’”

The 35-year-old, who also goes by the moniker Childish Gambino, continued: “I’m saying that to talk about music. I say that to talk about trust. That’s what love is.”

Glover also teased a few unreleased tracks that are set to be featured on his final album, which is expected to arrive next year.
