Drake pays tribute to late fan with embroidered Scorpion tour vest

by

Republic RecordsDrake is remembering one of his fans who recently passed away by embroidering her initial on his Scorpion tour vest.

The Canadian rapper had developed a friendship through the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a fan named Kay.  Drake posted a photo of his vest with her initial “K” embroidered in gold, and commented, “Got you with me every night now @the.kaydiaries”

“Gonna miss you a whole lot,” Drizzy commented on Instagram just a few days ago with a photo of them together in her hospital room. “We built a genuine bond. You would text me and check on me while I was on tour and tell me positive things and share your dreams and goals.”

“I am crying in this pic but it was tears of joy cause we just prayed for you with your father,” he added.” I am sorry I missed your text on my birthday. That’s eating my soul right now, but you know how much I loved you and was looking forward to seeing you after tour.”

“I don’t know why I am writing this on IG,” Drake continued. “I just need to get it out cause it’s sitting heavy on my heart. Will remember you forever K!.”

This isn’t the first time Drake has developed a friendship with a fan who was hospitalized.  In August, the “In My Feelings” singer visited Sofia Sanchez at the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago to celebrate her 11th birthday. She was awaiting a heart transplant at the time. One week later, she underwent successful transplant surgery.
