Drake, Robin Thicke Among Juno Award Nominees

JunoAwards.caRobin Thicke and Drake are among the nominees in major categories at the 2014 Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys.

Toronto-born Drake is nominated in four categories, including Album of the Year for Nothing Was the Same, as well as Rap Recording of the Year, Artist of the Year, and the JUNO Fan Choice Award. This year’s ceremony marks Drake’s fourth consecutive show in which he’s been nominated — he previously won Video of the Year for his 2013 hit single “HYFR” with Lil Wayne.

Meanwhile, Thicke, who has Canadian citizenship through his dad, actor Alan Thicke, received nods for Artist of the Year and the Fan Choice trophy. The crooner is also nominated for Pop Album, for Blurred Lines.

Artists nominated in the International Album of the Year category, which recognizes non-Canadians, include Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Eminem, One Direction, and Pink.

The 43rd Annual Juno Awards will be handed out in Winnipeg on during a live broadcast on March 30.
