Republic Records”In My Feelings” just became Drake’s sixth number one single on the Billboard Hot 100, and the Toronto rapper knows he owes much of its success to the dance challenge created by Instagram star Shiggy.
Drake thanked Shiggy as he shot a video of the comedian at a party in Los Angeles.
“Oh my goodness. Man got me a number one record today. Oh my God!,” Drake said as Shiggy displayed his dance moves.
“In My Feelings” replaced Drake’s “Nice For What” as the number one song.
New York Giants football star Odell Beckham Jr. was among the first celebrities to accept the dance challenge. Will Smith, Kevin Hart, Ciara, Lala and many more stars have also jumped in on the international dance craze which began on Instagram as #DoTheShiggy.
The viral challenge has inspired over three million tweets, according to Billboard.
As previously reported, Drake declared Smith the winner of the challenge, commenting, “Wow the video is done.”
